Poutargua is a very old and traditional Mediterranean dish.  Pourtagua is made of grey Mullet fish eggs, salted, dried and covered with wax.

Highly iodized and full-flavored, Pourtagua became, along centuries, a luxury aperitif.

Additive free, neither coloring nor preservative, it is a very prized aperitif all around the Mediterranean Sea and also in Asia.

Poutargua has a shelf life over six months, either at room temperature or at 40-43(°F).

In the US and Canada, Poutargua is already welcome in a growing number of Specialty Stores and Departments.

Besides the Classic Pourtargua, we now offer the Yellow Poutargua, covered with beewax; its taste has got a very pleasant flavor of honey.
